The 13+ Entry Process
Primary entry at Teddies takes place at 13+ (Year 9), with the selection process starting during Year 6.
Stage 1: Registration & ISEB Pre-Test (Year 6)

Registration: Families register candidates by the end of Year 5 or early Year 6.

ISEB Common Pre-Test: Candidates sit the adaptive digital ISEB pre-test between October and November of Year 6, covering English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

School Reference: A confidential report from the candidate's prep or primary headteacher is evaluated alongside pre-test scores.
Stage 2: Assessment Day & Interview (Year 6)
Shortlisted candidates attend a Year 6 Assessment Day at Teddies:

One-on-One Interview: Candidates discuss their academic interests, co-curricular hobbies, and reading habits with a senior staff member.

Group Activities: Collaborative tasks evaluating team communication and creative problem-solving.

Conditional Offers: Offers are extended in spring of Year 6, conditional upon Year 8 Common Entrance or internal academic streaming assessments.
