The 13+ Admissions Journey
Registration must be completed by June of Year 5. The assessment process evaluates intellectual curiosity, social confidence, and academic ability.
The ISEB Pre-Test (Autumn Year 6)
Candidates sit the adaptive digital ISEB Common Pre-Test at their current school between October and November of Year 6. Scores in Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English, and Mathematics determine shortlist invitation.
The Wellington Assessment Day (Early Spring Year 6)
Shortlisted candidates are invited to Wellington College for an assessment day in January or February of Year 6:

Collaborative Group Workshops: Candidates engage in Harkness-style group discussions and problem-solving activities to demonstrate teamwork, active listening, and reasoning.

One-on-One Interview: A conversation with senior staff exploring the candidate's personal interests, current reading, and extracurricular passions.
