Navigating the Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) 11+ Journey

The NHEHS Advantage

Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) in West London blends top-tier academic results with an exceptionally warm community feel. Welcoming roughly 50 to 55 external girls into Year 7 each year, the school looks for candidates who show genuine curiosity and emotional maturity alongside raw scholastic talent.

Key Milestones for the Admissions Cycle

  • Application Deadline: Mid-November 2026.

  • The Entrance Examination Window: Late November to early December 2026.

  • The Interview Phase: January 2027.

  • The Big Day (Offers Emailed): Friday, 12 February 2027.

  • Decision Day (Deadline to Accept): 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 3 March 2027.

Decoding the Adaptive Testing Format

NHEHS utilises the shared London 11+ Consortium digital platform, meaning your child only sits the entrance exam once, regardless of how many Consortium schools she applies to. The test moves quickly through five core pillars: Mathematics, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English Comprehension paired with Verbal Reasoning, multistep Problem-Solving, and an Analysis module. Because sections of the test are heavily adaptive, students need to develop strong pacing techniques and a high comfort level with screen-based problem-solving. Candidates who perform well are invited to an online interview in January to share their personal passions.
