The selection process at St James takes place across the autumn and winter terms of Year 6.
1. The London 11+ Consortium Digital Assessment (Nov/Dec)
Applicants sit a single, 100-minute computerised test divided into two key sections with an inline break:

2. The Individual Candidate Interview (December/January)
Shortlisted girls are invited to campus in December or January for a 1-to-1 interview with senior staff.
Holistic Conversation: The interview at St James explores a candidate’s creative thinking, personal interests, reading habits, and philosophical curiosity. Candidates are often asked to bring a personal item from home to discuss naturally.
