ELLIOTT
Spanish
Biography
I grew up in a small town in Bedfordshire, where my language-learning journey began at secondary school. Studying Spanish at GCSE and A Level opened my eyes to the wider possibilities of language learning, and I have since completed a degree in French and Spanish. I have lived and studied in both Paris and Barcelona and have travelled to almost 50 countries. I have worked as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher and Head of Department in two Outstanding London secondary schools and specialise in GCSE and A Level preparation.
Teaching Experience
I have over 10 years’ experience teaching Spanish across KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have taught students from a wide range of backgrounds, including native speakers, and have supported them in achieving strong outcomes at both GCSE and A Level. I take an adaptable, student-centred approach to planning lessons to ensure maximum impact. In addition, I have been a GCSE Edexcel examiner since 2018 and currently work as a Team Leader for the GCSE speaking component.
