KS3 Science
Biography
I have a strong academic background in science, medicine and health education. I completed a BSc in Biomedical Science at St George's, University of London before going on to study Medicine and qualify as a doctor. I have also completed a PGCert in Health Education, which strengthened my understanding of teaching, learning and how to support students effectively.
My medical training has given me a deep understanding of Biology, Chemistry, anatomy, physiology and the application of science within real-life healthcare. Alongside this, my experience in health education has helped me develop a structured and supportive approach to teaching.
I understand that Science and Maths can feel overwhelming at times, so I aim to make concepts clear, logical and easier to apply. My approach is patient, supportive and student-focused, with the goal of helping learners build confidence and make steady progress.
I bring both academic knowledge and real-world scientific experience into my lessons, allowing students to see how what they learn in class connects to medicine, healthcare and everyday life.
Teaching Experience
I have over 7 years of tutoring experience, teaching students from SATs and KS3 level through to GCSE and A-Level. I specialise in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, as well as A-Level Biology and Chemistry.
I have worked as part of the National Tutoring Programme, supporting students in strengthening subject knowledge, closing learning gaps and improving exam confidence. I have also worked with established tutoring organisations, delivering structured one-to-one, online and small group lessons.
My teaching experience covers a range of exam boards, including AQA, OCR and Edexcel. I regularly support students with exam technique, mark scheme application, revision planning, homework support and confidence-building.
I also have experience working with students with special educational needs, including learners with autism, dyslexia, speech difficulties and low confidence. I adapt my teaching style, pace and resources to suit each student, ensuring lessons remain clear, supportive and accessible.
