The 13+ Admissions Framework
Registration is recommended in Year 5 or early Year 6. The entry process takes place across two core stages:
Stage 1: Digital Pre-Testing & Headteacher Reference

ISEB Common Pre-Test: Candidates sit the adaptive digital ISEB pre-test during the autumn term of Year 6. The test measures Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English, and Mathematics.

School Report: A comprehensive confidential reference from the candidate's prep or primary school is evaluated alongside pre-test performance
Stage 2: The Uppingham Assessment Day
Shortlisted candidates attend an Assessment Day at Uppingham in the spring of Year 6:

Academic Interviews: Candidates meet with senior staff members to discuss their academic interests, reading habits, and curiosity.

Group & Practical Workshops: Collaborative activities evaluating communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.

Confirmation: Conditional offers are awarded in Year 6 and confirmed via Year 8 Common Entrance or internal streaming papers.
