Mastering Oundle School 11+ & 13+ Entry

11+ (Year 7) Entry Process

11+ applicants complete assessments in January of Year 6:

• Written Papers: Bespoke examinations in English, Mathematics, and Science.

• Cognitive Testing: Adaptive tests measuring Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning skills.

• Interview & Activities: Candidates undergo a 1-to-1 interview and attend small group activities to assess boarding suitability.

13+ (Year 9) Entry Process

For 13+ entry, Oundle uses a structured two-stage approach:

• Stage 1 (Year 6): Candidates sit the ISEB Common Pre-Test during the autumn term of Year 6, accompanied by a headteacher reference.

• Stage 2 (Year 6/7): Shortlisted pupils attend an Open Experience Day and interview at Oundle. Conditional offers are confirmed via Year 8 Common Entrance or internal assessments.
