11+ Maths

Biography

I grew up in West London with a strong academic interest in mathematics and the sciences. I studied Mathematics, Physics, and Biology at A-level before completing a four-year integrated Master’s degree (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering at City, University of London, graduating with Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1).

I currently work full-time as a Management Accountant at one of the world’s largest advertising agencies, where I apply analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment. Alongside my career, I am pursuing the ACCA qualification to gain chartership in accounting and continue to teach mathematics in my free time.

I have delivered over 500 hours of tutoring to students across a range of abilities and ages, supporting them in building strong foundations, boosting confidence, and preparing for key exams, including the 11+. I take a structured, patient, and results-focused approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs and learning style to help them achieve their academic goals.

Teaching Experience

I am an experienced mathematics tutor, delivering high-quality one-to-one and small group lessons across a range of ages and abilities. I have worked with established tuition providers to help students improve performance, confidence, and independent learning skills.

I specialise in 11+ and Key Stage 3 mathematics, with extensive experience preparing students for competitive entrance examinations. I have successfully supported pupils gaining places at leading selective schools, including Westminster School, King’s College, Tiffin Girls’ School, Godolphin & Latymer, and St Paul’s School. My structured, exam-focused approach develops strong core knowledge, problem-solving ability, and effective exam techniques.

I begin by assessing each student’s strengths and areas for development, creating personalised learning plans tailored to their individual learning style and goals. Lessons are well-organised, curriculum-aligned, and designed to build both understanding and confidence. I provide regular progress updates to parents and adapt teaching strategies to support students with additional learning needs when required.
