Biography
I was born and raised in Valencia, Spain. After completing my university entrance examinations in 1994, I studied English Philology at the University of Valencia, graduating in 2000. During my degree, I also undertook additional modules in Spanish Philology and Art History.
I later obtained the Curso de Aptitud Pedagógica (PGCE equivalent) and completed two years of doctoral study in English Language and Literature. I have continued to develop professionally through a range of specialised courses, including International Baccalaureate training and DELE examiner certification with the Instituto Cervantes, as well as further studies in Italian.
Teaching Experience
I bring over 25 years of teaching experience across international and British schools in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Italy. I have taught Spanish Language and Literature, as well as English, at a wide range of levels, including GCSE, IGCSE, A-level and the International Baccalaureate.
Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles, including Head of Spanish, Head of Year, Middle School Head, and Academic Coordinator. I have worked in well-established schools such as Caxton College (Valencia), Whitgift School (London), Rome International School, and Malvern College (UK).
Since 2019, after passing the Spanish public teaching examination, I have been teaching English at the Official School of Languages in Paterna, where I also serve as IT Coordinator. My experience across different educational systems and countries has enabled me to adapt my teaching to suit students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
