English and Maths 11+

I have a Masters in Education, which I passed with distinction, and I am currently working towards my PhD (also in Education). My PhD research is an exploration into girls’ experiences transitioning from Year 13 to Higher and Further Education, and focuses on their social and personal development at this exciting but often daunting time. I am also thrilled to be presenting my emerging findings at the annual British Sociological Association conference in April 2022.

Teaching Experience

I have been a private tutor since 2016, during which time I have tutored students for the 11 plus (in Maths, English, VR and NVR) at the following schools: Highgate, Henrietta Barnett, Westminster, City of London (Girls), City of London, The Latymer School, St Paul's School, St Paul's Girls, St Albans High School For Girls, Allyens, Mill Hill, UCS, London Consortium (including, Channing, Francis Holland, South Hampstead), Merchant Taylors, Haberdashers Aske (Boys and Girls).

I pride myself on the rapport I have with my students, many of whose siblings I have tutored before. Parents of my students often comment on how at ease their children feel with me and have described me as having exemplary 11 plus knowledge. I would describe myself as a lively and approachable teacher, and this is reflected in my lessons which I aim to make engaging and as fun as possible.
