Amina

SEN, 7+,

My journey into teaching started after I graduated from Aston University where I completed a combined honours degree in ‘Psychology/Society & Government’ which included a year’s industrial placement at the BBC. I went on to qualify as a teacher by completing my PGCE (Primary) in Birmingham and furthered my knowledge of SEN by completing the Special Educational Needs Coordinator certification (PG Dip) at UCL, London. I have taught across all primary key stages from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and I completed the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) at Kingston University.

My in-depth knowledge of the primary curriculum enables me to identify and ‘close the gap’ in attainment and build on strengths ensuring children achieve their potential.  Since 2018, I began home tutoring, preparing children for independent school entrance examinations (7+) and State School SATs . In addition, as a result of my detailed knowledge and training in the early years, I offer EYFS advice and consultancy to Early Years settings/Childminders to help improve their provision.
