Sophie

Over the past ten years, I have worked as a private tutor in French, Spanish and English in Paris, Granada and London, teaching children, teenagers and adults. For the last four years, I have been teaching secondary French and Spanish from Year 7 to A Level in East London, producing excellent results. 

Throughout my teaching career my lessons were consistently rated as Outstanding. Other responsibilities have included overseeing and preparing all applications for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, leading and supporting a range of higher education and workplace related aspirational trips, and setting up and maintaining tertiary links with the Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership. 

During my time abroad, I completed a C1 level (full professional proficiency) Spanish course at the University of Granada (Centro de Lenguas Modernas) and was awarded Distinction, before taking up a competitive British Council teaching placement at a lycée in Paris, where I fell in love with teaching. After graduating from Leeds with a high 2:1 and a distinction in spoken Spanish, I studied for my PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages at the UCL Institute of Education.
